The Way to Make Money in Buy Now, Pay Later Is to Do Something Else

Readers will recall that, in late January, FIN editor and publisher James Ledbetter published a story in the New York Times pointing out that, despite the obvious and growing appeal of Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) service to consumers worldwide, the companies that have focused on BNPL  have struggled to make a profit.

This week, two developments deepened the BNPL conflict we identified.
